BIOGRAPHY - SUMMARY

„Holopso“ C. Gesseljay, 2020

„Holopso“ C. Gesseljay was born in Bailar in 1978. He attended primary school in Turkmenistan and then moved to Germany with his parents at the age of eleven. He graduated from the Higher Commercial College Joseph Dumont and then obtained  his Professional Education as an Industrial Sales Manager at RheinEnergie Cologne.

He discovered his entrepreneurial spirit early on and founded his own company, which he also maintained as well as being a visual artist.

Since 2014 he has been a member of an economics and trade working group in the Federal Ministry of Economics in Berlin.

After successfully exhibiting his first artistic works, in 2020 he decided to study painting and graphics at the University of Fine Art in Essen. During his art studies he developed and combined new ways of creating works of art from the world of matter. He defined a technique for the production of canvases - these are composed according to his "H-knot keys" and then made by hand. On the one hand, these canvases give him the opportunity to display the refractions of light on the surface of his work in a new dimension and, on the other hand, to incorporate his patterns. These patterns are applied with brushes and tools developed in-house.

He researches and experiments with almost all current materials and created his "Holopso X-Chessboard" with magnets, which can be played by up to 4 players at the same time.

He sees himself as a universal artist creating universal art.

WHEN CREATING AND DRAFTING MY ARTWORK, I TAKE MOSTLY THIS APPROACH: I TRANSFER MY THOUGHTS INTO SKETCHES IN MY NOTEBOOK OR DIGITALLY ONTO A TECHNICAL AID. THEN I DECIDE HOW TO TRANSLATE THIS DRAFT INTO MY PAINTING.
